HOODLUMS SET LG SECRETARIATS ABLAZE FEW HOURS AFTER POLICE ANNOUNCE HER WITHDRAWAL FROM LG HEADQUARTERS

Unknown gunmen and arsonists on Monday, unleashed terror against Port Harcourt residents to pave way for their planned attacks on local government secretariats and other facilities in Rivers State.
The serial attacks came few hours after Nigeria Police announced her withdrawal from local government headquarters across the state.
Local Governments attacked by the arsonists include; Obio/Akpor, Ikwerre, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni, Eleme, and Emohua local government council secretariats, preventing the newly elected and sworn in local government chairmen from assuming office.
The apparent silence by the police in the area may have prompted a marching order from President Bola Tinubu, urging police to intervene and restore law and order in Rivers State.
Meanwhile, Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has since visited the secretariat of the Ikwerre Local Government Area to assess the extent of damage caused by arsonists
