Imo government has banned illegal motor parks and indiscriminate picking of passengers by commercial vehicles in the state.
In an Exclusive interview with DARLING FM, the chairman committee of illegal motor parking/traffic congestion, OKECHUKWU OPARAH said the ban is in line with Governor EMEKA IHEDIOHA’S rescue mission to sanitize the state.
OKECHUKWU listed the unauthorized locations to include Okigwe Road, Ama JK and environs, Assumpta Roundabout, Mbaise Road, and the entire length of Douglas Road.
He said all vehicles plying various routes are by this final notice directed to move into the designated parks immediately, adding that it would impound any vehicle caught violating the rule.
The chairman committee of illegal motor parking/ traffic congestion, however warned that anyone caught disobeying the directive of the state government will be subjected to severe penalty.
