IMO WORKERS URGES NEW COMMISSIONER FOR FINANCE TO INTRODUCE QUICK PAYMENT OF SALARIES AND GRATUITIES.

Imo workers have called on the new commissioner for Finance, UCHE UWALEKE to introduced quick payment of salaries and gratuities.

In an interactive session with Darling FM, Chairman Nigeria Labour Congress Imo state chapter, AUSTIN CHILAKPU, who made the call, appealed to the new commissioner to meet the workers’ demands across the state.

According to him, workers are expected to receive their monthly salaries before the end of each month, stressing that imo workers are also expecting increase oftheir salaries even though they may not fully understand the process.

The NLC chairman also called on the State Governments to make workers welfare top priority in their efforts to promote good governance in the state.
