AITEO CUP QUARTER FINAL RESULTS- MEN

Defending champions Akwa United has been dumped out of the Aiteo Federation Cup following a 4-2 penalty shoot-out defeat to Five time Federation/Aiteo cup champions Enugu Rangers in their quarter-final tie at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano on Wednesday.
Michael Ibe gave Akwa United the lead four minutes before the break with a superb free kick then Rangers’ captain Okey Odita restored parity for his side 20 minutes from time as regulation time ended 1-1, before the Flying Antelopes booked a semi final place with a 4-2 victory during the penalty shoot-out, goalkeeper Femi Thomas saved two of Akwa United’s kicks.
Katsina United defeated Kwara United 3-1 in Lagos to reach the last four of the cup competition.
Destiny Ashadi gave Katsina United the lead before Tasiu Lawal doubled the advantage.
Kwara United striker Segun Alebiosu pulled a goal back, before Martins Usule made it 3-1 in favour of Katsina United at the stroke of fulltime.
Later today Nasarawa United will take on El-Kanemi Warriors in the third quater-final clash at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba, while Enyimba and Kano Pillars will battle at the Pantami Stadium, Gombe on Sunday.
