FEDERAL GOVERNMENT WARNS CHURCHES AGAINST RECKLESS CONFIDENCE’ OVER COVID-19.

Federal Government has warned church leaders, Christians and other Nigerians against ‘reckless confidence’ as regards the devastating effect of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Secretary to Government of the Federation BOSS MUSTAPHA, who spoke at the interdenominational church prayer service against COVID-19 held at the National Ecumenical Centre, Abuja, expressed discontent with the level of recklessness and disregard for COVID-19 prevention guidelines, particularly at various worship centres.
Meanwhile, Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases continued to rise as the country reported 544 fresh infections. This is according to a tweet by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control which said the new figure brings the West African nation’s total confirmed cases to 28,711.
