Imo state Governor EMEKA IHEDIOHA has sworn-in 17 newly appointed commissioners, warning that his administration will not condone appointees who perform below expectations.
Speaking at the ceremony which held at the Ahiajoku Convention Center, New Owerri, the Governor said much is expected from the newly constituted state executive council, adding that much must be delivered for the benefit of the people.
According to him, the commissioners were appointed not based on their local government areas of origin, but because they had been tested and found capable to work for the state.
He urged them to contribute their quota to the development of the state and called on them to shun acts that could undermine their reputation as members of the state executive council.
The governor also advised them to always be loyal and committed to their duties and ensure success in the running of the government.
