IMSU MEDICAL STUDENTS APPEALS TO STATE GOVERNMENT TO FAST TRACK ACCREDITATION OF MEDICAL AND SURGERY PROGRAMME

Medical students of the Imo State University (IMSU)has called on the state government to fast track the accreditation of Medical and surgery programmes in the institution.
Speaking with Darling FM, president of IMSU Medical Students’ Association EKE MACDONALD said the non-accreditation of the programmes had impeded the graduation of the medical students.
According to MACDONALD, if the government do not intervene, the institution will lose next Medical and Dental Council of NIGERIA(MDCN)and National Universities Commission (NUC) accreditations.
Meanwhile, governor hope Uzodinma had met with the management of the institution, promising that the government will do its possible best to ensure that medical programmed get accreditation.
