IRELAND IN EUROPE ELECTS DEPUTY MAYOR Of NIGERIA EXTRACTION

Report from Ireland indicated that a Nigerian of Igbo extraction John Kingsley Onwumere has been elected and sworn in as the Deputy Mayor, Fingal County Council.
Onwumereh reportedly comes from Mbutu, in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State.
While responding to his colleagues in Ireland,
he thanked the people of Fingal County Council for electing him as Deputy Mayor at the 1st Council plenary on June 21, 2024,.
He added that the people’s unwavering support, trust and confidence cannot be taken for granted.
Expressing delight, his brother Sir Chris Njoku, and a member of Oke Ovoro Ezuo People’s Assembly sees the development as a great milestone in Mbutu, Mbaise, Imo and Nigeria generally for such honour given to his brother and friend.
He congratulated the entire John Kingsley Onwumereh family for such international honour from the Fingal Ireland county council, an European country
