LONELY AT THE TOP Muhammadu Buhari is the immediate past President of Nigeria. June 12, now known as Democracy Day was Buhari’s creation. Democracy Day has come and gone without Buhari, taking the front sit or deliver a lecture in any of the numerous activities marking Democracy Day across Nigeria. Messages were delivered by former Presidents of Nigeria. Not too sure if Buhari sent any message to the media. (1) Could it be that Nigerians, including government at all levels ignored the former President or was he invited and he decided to turn it down? (2) Was his administration as President very “wonderful” and capable of bringing him closer to the people of Nigeria and elsewhere? (3) What can you make out of this department?
