Many Trapped Over Buildings’ Collapse In Abuja, Plateau State

A two-storey residential building in Phase 2, site 2, Kubwa Abuja collapsed on Saturday morning at 7:00am with many persons trapped in the rubble.

The latest in many cases of building collapse across the country came, just as the Plateau State Government confirmed the death of 22 students and teachers in a school building collapse in Jos area on Friday, during the school exams.

DARLING FM gathered that the collapsed building in Abuja was formerly a hotel, but was converted to residential apartments.

In Plateau State, it was a case of unstoppable wailing by parents and sympathisers who witnessed the collapse of a two-storey academic building belonging to Saints Academy, located in Busa-Buji, the Jos North Local Government Area of the State

Report from the office of the Commissioner for Information, Musa Ashoms revealed that those injured were in critical condition and receiving treatment in various tertiary health facilities in the state, while the bodies of the deceased persons had been deposited in the mortuaries.
