Imo command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has vowed to bring to book all members of a gang suspected to be kidnappers who shot and killed an officer of the command.
State commander NSE INAM spoke through the Assistant State commander in charge of operations and intelligence, KAYODE RAJI said the officers ran into unknown gunmen who opened fire at Ohi junction, Mbaitoli Local Government Area with one officer losing his life in the process.
According toRAJI, the deceased was one of five officers of the command drafted into the drugs component of the ‘operation search and flush’, a combined security operations targeted at flashpoints of criminal activities in Imo.
He called on members of the public to avail the police and other law enforcement agencies of any information that may lead to the arrest of criminals.
The Imo NDLEA boss however frowned at social media publications which he said presented a totally different picture
