The Global Prolife Alliance has written to President Donald J. Trump, urging him to take a position against what the group described as a “world culture of death through abortion”.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately 73 million unborn children were lost to abortion in 2023, Global Prolife Alliance revealed.
Statistics put forward by the group also revealed that abortion remains the leading cause of human mortality globally, surpassing infectious diseases of 12.9 million, cancer 8.2 million, smoking 4.9 million, alcohol abuse (2.4 million, HIV/AIDS 1.6 million, traffic accidents 1.3 million, and suicide over 1 million yearly across the world.
The GPA led by Dr Philip NJEMANZE said that President Trump is uniquely in a position to lead a global movement against the “Culture of Death,” fostering a world characterized by life, peace, and prosperity.
It proposes a comprehensive framework to eradicate the prevalence of abortion and contraception, thereby transitioning the world from a Culture of Death to a Culture of Life.
Dr NJEMANZE said that steps required to stop the global abortion menace include; cessation of funding to national and international organizations and government agencies that support or facilitate abortion.
Others include; regulation of media content, indicating that media outlets, whether conventional or social should not promote abortion related matters, adding that the US President and government should be worried about the disturbing statistics, revealing that 20.6% of pregnancies in the U.S. end up in abortion.
