Just as power outage lingers for more than 11 days in Northern Nigerian states, the power Minister Adebayo ADELABU has promised to restore power in the area despite calls for his sack by the President of Nigeria Consumer Protection Network, Kunle Olubiyo.

North East and North West of Northern Nigeria have been in darkness since October 19, 2024 due to National grid collapse, an outage which also affected other parts of Nigeria, including Imo State.

The collapse of the national grid was attributed to the activities of insurgents in the area who are involved in the vandalisation of shiroro-Kaduna transmission line.

On Monday, President Bola Tinubu urged the Minister of Power, Adelabu, and other relevant agencies of government to restore public power supply to the 15 Nothern States affected by the collapse of the national grid.
