Paris Saint-Germain have given a condition to terminate their defender Sergio Ramos’ contract, which currently runs until 2023.
French outlet Le Parisien reports that PSG would be willing to let Ramos walk away from the club if his fitness problems continue to hinder his chances of selection.
The report also added that the French Ligue 1 giants feel they made a mistake signing the Spanish centre-back and are now contemplating their next move.
However, PSG would need to reach an agreement with Ramos first before they can terminate his contract.
Ramos moved to PSG on a lucrative free transfer in the summer from Real Madrid but he is yet to make his debut because of a calf problem that he initially suffered three months ago.
His last appearance came in Real Madrid colours during their Champions League semi-final second leg defeat against Chelsea on May 5.
The 35-year-old has been receiving his reported £250,000 per week salary at PSG since July without playing a single game for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Meanwhile, PSG had last month released a statement announcing that Ramos would be ‘considered’ for a return to training imminently.
