Senate Confirms Justice Tsoho As Chief Judge Of Federal High Court

The Senate has confirmed the nomination of Justice John Tosho as the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court.

The lawmakers also confirmed Justice Benedict Kanyip as the President of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria.

Meanwhile, the Protection from Internet Falsehood and Manipulations Bill 2019 has passed first reading in the Senate.

Although details of the bill have yet to be disclosed, there are fears that the bill may be similar to the social media bill which was introduced in the 8th Senate.

The bill suffered a setback after it triggered widespread criticism.
