Despite the ongoing protests in some states across Nigeria today, demanding for reduction on the cost of petrol, President Bola Tinubu at 7.00am addressed Nigerians, again dashed the hope that fuel subsidy will be restored.
Instead, the President pleaded to the citizens of the country to have confidence in his leadership and promised to organise a national youth conference.
According to the President, the conference will be a platform to address the diverse challenges and opportunities confronting young people, who constitute more than 60 per cent of Nigerian population.
He went further, stating that the conference will provoke meaningful dialogue and empower young people to participate actively in nation-building.
The 30-day Confab will unite young people nationwide to collaboratively develop solutions to issues such as education, employment, innovation, security, and social justice, Tinubu stated
